Nutrition for Skin

  • COMMUNE Waterloo 901 Bourke Street Waterloo, NSW, 2017 Australia (map)

Your skin's health is a great indicator of your internal health. So, it makes sense that a diet full of wholesome, nourishing food will leave you with clear and glowing skin! In fact, there are many motivating factors for incorporating good nutrition into the daily diet - health, longevity, balanced mood and bountiful energy. The way in which our diet impacts our health and appearance is truly remarkable.

Whether you're a make-up wearer or not, many of us seek well-hydrated and vibrant skin; free from common skin conditions including acne, eczema, dermatitis and rosacea. Imagine if this were possible without spending hundreds of dollars on products!

What you’ll learn:

- Which foods negatively impact the health of your skin
- How to incorporate skin-loving ingredients into your daily diet and experience their long-term benefits
- The link between diet and ageing and which foods can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles
- How you can avoid spending hundreds of dollars on skincare with simple homemade beauty and skincare remedies
- The interplay between topical skincare and cosmetic use and nutrition through diet

What you’ll get:

- Demo and sampling of simple recipes that promote healthy, clear skin that you can easily recreate at home

What to bring:

- Paper and pen for note taking
- A smile!

About the teacher:

Kate Levins is an accredited nutritionist and the founder of Nourishing Club, through which she aims to educate people on the benefits of healthy eating through recipe development and cooking for others. Even though you might catch her drinking a medicinal mushroom latte, she gets just as excited about things like broccoli and lentils. Kate is a strong believer that healthy, delicious food doesn't have to be complicated - herbs, spices, a good sprinkling of sea salt and a glug of olive oil are the only tools you'll need!
