  • COMMUNE Waterloo 901 Bourke Street Waterloo, NSW, 2017 Australia (map)

With the rise in popularity of half to one day lettering workshops our friends at Pocket Design have prepared a 6 week mentorship for those that want to take things a little further. At the end of the six week mentorship, with the right amount of practice, you will successfully gain knowledge and proficient skills in hand lettering with a pencil and brush which can be used in many traditional and modern design practices.

Each week you will be given written notes and exercises to improve your hand drawn lettering, layout and brush control. It will be up to the student to complete additional tasks given to practice in-between each lesson for review. Additional training and advice will be given to each student once the practice materials have been reviewed.

You'll go through hand drawn and painted Block, Casual and Script lettering while working towards better layout, colour theory and the addition of lettering effects.

This class is suitable to a everyone from a complete beginner to an advanced letterer. No matter what your experience, you will gain more confidence with lettering using a pencil and brush which can be used in many traditional and modern practices.

All materials are supplied throughout the 6 weeks. Cost includes Signwriting Brushes, specialty paints and mahl sticks which will be supplied to all students so they can practice on the worksheets between each lesson.
