Going Plastic Free

  • COMMUNE Waterloo 901 Bourke Street Waterloo, NSW, 2017 Australia (map)

In this workshop we will be discussing how you can ditch plastic wrap for good, how to make and use chemical free, DIY, earth friendly cleaning products and how to make some healthy plastic free hygiene products.

All the ideas discussed are designed to help you change the way you consume store bought, expensive, plastic products by using more natural alternatives that will save you time, money and help reduce your impact on the environment.

We will be using up cycled cottons and local beeswax to make wraps, citrus peels and herbs to infuse our vinegar that will be a base for your cleaning recipes and using kitchen ingredients and essential oils to make the powdered hygiene products.

What you will make:

  • Beeswax food wrap
  • Citrus Infused cleaning spray
  • Powdered deodorant or Tooth powder (you choose on the day)

A digital booklet with all recipes and hacks on making more natural alternatives to household items will be emailed to you.

Optional: Please bring any cotton fabric you would like to wax, 2 empty clean glass jars (300g or bigger) and a bag (not plastic) to take home your creations.
